L.I.F.T Program

A program designed to help young adults transition into post-secondary life. We are dedicated to helping young adults meet their goals and achieve independence.

PROGRAM OBJECTIVES

  • Students will be able to respectfully articulate basic information regarding their product and service.
  • Students will be able to obtain needed employability traits of punctuality, dress, and following a schedule.
  • Students will be able to identify personal strengths and weaknesses,  fill out an application, and answer interview questions.
  • Students will be able to communicate with understanding in speaking and writing.
  • Students will use technology to develop skills needed for post-secondary goals.
  • Students will be able to identify personal strengths and weaknesses,  fill out an application, and answer interview questions.
  • Students will be able to follow procedures to complete assigned tasks correctly.
  • Students will be able to work cooperatively in a peer group to complete a single assigned task.
  • Students will be able to work independently to complete a task without direct supervision.
  • Students will demonstrate problem-solving skills.

PROGRAM GOALS

The overarching goal of the L.I.F.T. program is to provide young adults on the certificate of completion track with the skills needed to be successful in a post-secondary setting.

  1. Students will have the academic skills needed for successful employment.
  2. Students will have the socialization skills needed for successful employment.       
  3. Students will develop skills needed to seek and gain employment
  4. Students will have the basic skills needed to independently manage personal living.
