L.I.F.T Program
A program designed to help young adults transition into post-secondary life. We are dedicated to helping young adults meet their goals and achieve independence.
PROGRAM OBJECTIVES
- Students will be able to respectfully articulate basic information regarding their product and service.
- Students will be able to obtain needed employability traits of punctuality, dress, and following a schedule.
- Students will be able to identify personal strengths and weaknesses, fill out an application, and answer interview questions.
- Students will be able to communicate with understanding in speaking and writing.
- Students will use technology to develop skills needed for post-secondary goals.
- Students will be able to identify personal strengths and weaknesses, fill out an application, and answer interview questions.
- Students will be able to follow procedures to complete assigned tasks correctly.
- Students will be able to work cooperatively in a peer group to complete a single assigned task.
- Students will be able to work independently to complete a task without direct supervision.
- Students will demonstrate problem-solving skills.
PROGRAM GOALS
The overarching goal of the L.I.F.T. program is to provide young adults on the certificate of completion track with the skills needed to be successful in a post-secondary setting.
- Students will have the academic skills needed for successful employment.
- Students will have the socialization skills needed for successful employment.
- Students will develop skills needed to seek and gain employment
- Students will have the basic skills needed to independently manage personal living.
