Mrs. Jessica Mills-Rais is a Romulus High School alumnus who has been teaching general music, band, and choir for nearly five years. Rais graduated Summa Cum Laude from Central Michigan University in 2012, earning a Bachelors of Music Education with a minor in Political Science. Rais went on to further her education at Wayne State University, completing a Masters of Flute Performance in 2014. Rais has been playing flute for nearly 18 years, and has studied with many prominent flute instructors across the state of MI including Sharon Sparrow (Detroit Symphony Orchestra), Joanna Cowan-White (Saginaw Bay and Midland Symphony), and Tess Miller (Traverse Symphony). In her spare time, Rais performs with the Southeastern Michigan Wind Ensemble, and teaches private lessons out of her home in New Boston.
